On December 1st, Calciomercato.it reported Liverpool sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has recommended Juventus’ Kenan Yıldız to Jürgen Klopp.
Last Friday, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Old Lady aren’t willing to sell him in January but the Reds ‘have the arguments’ make them change their stance.
Another report from Calciomercato.it provides further updates on Liverpool’s interest and the Serie A side’s plans for the 18-year-old.
The attacking midfielder has clocked in 36 minutes from five games and seems to have expected more minutes with the first team, after making his debut for Turkey in October.
The report states he is ‘experiencing a moment of frustration’ due to the restricted game time and it may impact his chances of representing Turkey at the Euros next summer.
Liverpool have been following the player for a while. It’s said their ‘interest is real’ and he ‘continues to be an objective’ for Klopp’s side.
Juve would like to retain the Turkey international while they are also looking to raise funds to carry out a few incoming operations next month. Calciomercato.it explain that they could consider selling Yıldız if there’s an ‘important offer’ of €30-40m.
With Yıldız frustrated with his situation at Juve, Liverpool could offer him an escape route, if they decide to table an offer of at least €30m in the winter market.
