PSV Eindhoven are yet to reach an agreement with Manchester City for striker Jason van Duiven and want them to pay more for him.
That’s according to journalist Rik Elfrink, who reports that the Dutch club want to earn €3-3.5m for the youngster ‘all in’.
Elfrink denies claims that Manchester City may be closing in on the signing of the striker, who is likely to join the ever-expanding list of youngsters in the City Group network.
Reports had indicated their interest and a move potentially being on the way, but Elfrink pours cold water on that and insists PSV ‘certainly (have) not yet reached an agreement’ with the City Group at this point.
That’s because they want Manchester City’s owners to ‘pay more’ for the striker, looking to make €3-3.5m for the player if he is to depart this summer.
That had not been offered until yesterday afternoon and so a deal is nowhere near to being completed at this moment in time.
Indeed, there is another ‘conglomerate’ showing interest in the player so Manchester City and the City Group have competition and there is every chance they could become involved in the matter too.
Now that an offer is in perhaps things will pick up, but it seems PSV are keen to make it clear nothing has been agreed or anything of that nature yet.
