Brighton & Hove Albion allowed Julio Enciso to join Ipswich Town on loan in the winter market.

The Paraguay international wasn’t able to feature regularly under Fabian Hürzeler this season. This convinced the Seagulls to sanction a loan move to Ipswich Town.

Kieran McKenna has regularly used the attacking midfielder, who managed a goal and three assists for Ipswich Town so far. He will return to Brighton at the end of this season.

The 21-year-old has less than 15 months left on his contract. He’s been speaking to Rádio Rock & Pop Paraguay and Coluna Do Fla have relayed his comments. The Brighton owned player explains what he wants after this season.

“I have a contract with Brighton for another year. If you ask me, I want to continue playing at a high level, I want to have continuity,” he said.

Ipswich Town are 18th in the table, 14 points behind 17th placed West Ham United, and are likely to be relegated. Therefore, they won’t be a ‘high level’ option for him next season.

Earlier this month, claims from Brazil stated Flamengo and FC Porto are looking at him for the summer window.

On April 4th, O Jogo dismissed the Dragons’ interest in Enciso and five days later, Bolavip Brasil ruled out Flamengo as an option in the next window.

Either way, Hürzeler and Brighton have to make a decision on the player’s future in the summer window.
