An Arsenal player ended up being mentioned in a press conference held by Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
That’s Declan Rice, who is very much admired by Swedish midfielder Hugo Larsson.
With the 19-year-old’s press conference covered by Kicker, he made it clear that he “dreams” of playing in the Premier League, and the Arsenal midfielder is someone who inspires him.
“He’s a similar type of player to me. He does a lot of good things offensively and defensively, I look up to him,” said Larsson.
Larsson was recently signed by Frankfurt, with the Bundesliga side spending €9m to buy him from Malmo FF last summer.
Covering the quotes, Kicker don’t feed the chance of a potential move to Arsenal to play alongside Rice, and claim there are chances he could actually face his idol in the Premier League one day.
With 22 appearances for Frankfurt this season, Larsson has been able to prove himself in his first season in Germany, and that’s why he’s now valued by Transfermarkt at €28m.
It looks like English football could be an option for him in the future, and we’ll see if Arsenal would have anything to do with that.
