Galatasaray forward Barış Alper Yılmaz has told the Turkish media he would be interested in a transfer to England.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League ever since his performances last summer in the Euros and in the past week there have been claims Nottingham Forest will soon make another attempt to sign him.

Asist Analiz have covered comments made by Yılmaz when discussing his future, in which he said he would prefer a transfer to either England or Italy.

The winger explained he would be open to playing in other leagues, but the Premier League and Serie A are his goal.

“I like the Premier League and the Italian league very much. I like the other leagues as well, but my first choices would be England and Italy,” said the attacker.

Only a few days ago we covered reports from the Turkish press which stated Nottingham Forest are preparing an offer for Yılmaz and are ready to bid up to €35m to sign him.

Nottingham Forest should expect to face competition to sign the Turkey international following reports in the past week that Serie A giants Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation. It’s been claimed the Italian club are ready make a bid for the forward.

Yilmaz made 29 league appearances for Gala last season, scoring 11 goals. He’s contracted to the Super Lig champions until June 2027, but it seems Cimbom could look to cash in on him this summer.
