Dean Huijsen has impressed for Bournemouth this season, having grown in stature in the past few months.

He’s played 18 times in all competitions and the defender has started each of their last nine Premier League games, scoring against Tottenham and Manchester United.

As he continues to make a mark, the youngster has also been linked with moves to the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

The 19-year-old has spoken to OggiSportNotizie about his time at Bournemouth so far and was also asked about his future.

When quizzed about the Real Madrid links, the teenager said: “I really don’t know anything about these things, those close to me deal with these things. I haven’t heard anything about these rumours, maybe I wouldn’t even know. Maybe one day it will happen, but today I don’t know anything.”

Huijsen also spoke about how the move to the Vitality Stadium has come about. He revealed that during his last few days at Juventus, he never really felt wanted.

“I’ll be honest, from the first day I arrived at the retreat they told me they had to sell me.

“I had a normal relationship with the coach while I was training with the team. I was thinking more than anything about marrying a project that was right for me.”

He also spoke about Bournemouth’s chase for the European spots this season and seemed confident.

“Why not dream of the Champions League? We are a strong team, we are doing very well. We are a good group, we can still grow a lot and we will give it our all in every match.”

Andoni Iraola’s side are currently seventh in the Premier League table and only three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

They have already beaten Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City and have held Chelsea to a draw, which suggests that they are probably well in contention to grab a European spot for the first time in history.
