Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are among the clubs to have Beşiktaş’ Semih Kılıçsoy on their radar, according to A Spor.
The 18-year-old is a product of the Black Eagles’ academy and made his first team debut last season. He’s starred for the Turkish club this season, managing eight goals and an assist from 19 games.
This includes seven goals and an assist in the last seven games and his recent form has caught the attention of Tottenham and Aston Villa.
It’s claimed Spurs and Unai Emery’s side have joined Borussia Dortmund, Atlético Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt to send their scouts to closely follow the winger live in action for the Istanbul club.
Last month, the Turkey U19 international extended his contract until 2028. According to A Spor, Beşiktaş won’t consider offers less than €25m to part ways with him in the summer.
As of now, Tottenham and Aston Villa are only following the youngster and may consider making an offer, if he continues to shine until the end of this season.
The interested parties would be pleased to know that Beşiktaş board member Feyyaz Uçar has admitted it would be difficult to retain Kılıçsoy for a long time.
“I want to say that he will play for Beşiktaş for many years, but I don’t think we can keep him. He is one of the most talented Turkish players in recent years. Vincenzo Montella will also invite him to the national squad,” he said, as quoted by Fanatik.
The outlet also states Kılıçsoy specifically requested not to include a release clause in his new contract, in order to help Beşiktaş earn a ‘maximum fee’, when he decides to leave them.
