Hull City midfielder Evandro Goebel could be returning to Brazil this summer, according to reports.

Gazeta Esportiva claims that Athletico, Santos and Vasco are all interested in bringing the player back to his home country.

Evandro’s contract only expires on the last day of June, but according to the outlet, Hull City have already authorised him to join a new side.

On Thursday, the 32-year-old made a post on Instagram thanking the Championship side for his time there, confirming his departure this summer.

Back in January, Santos had agreed a deal with the player. But president José Carlos Peres claimed there wasn’t time enough for the clubs to work on the paperwork, since the agreement was found close to the end of the transfer window.

Now with Athletico and Vasco both linked to the player, there should be a bigger battle for him. All of his social media posts are full of Vasco fans asking him to join the Rio de Janeiro side.
