There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Hull City attacker Abdülkadir Ömür will return to the Super Lig in the summer.

The 25-year-old looks surplus to requirements with the Championship side, and he spent the second half of this season on loan with Çaykur Rizespor. Ömür had issues in England and there were even reports he could walk away from football.

Aksam have reported on developments regarding Ömür’s future and they say Hull City no longer see him in their long-term plans.

Subsequently the English club will look to sell the player during the next transfer window and a move back to Turkey looks to be the likeliest scenario.

It’s claimed a number of top-tier Turkish clubs are monitoring the situation with the winger as they plan for next season. Before his loan move to Çaykur Rizespor in January he was linked with a move to Besiktas, but there are no reports if the Istanbul club will come back in for him.

Ömür made 21 appearances for Hull City last season and he’s contracted to the Tigers until June 2027.
