The Egyptian FA have released a statement to confirm Huddersfield Town winger Ramadan Sobhi will travel back to England to continue his rehabilitation.
The 21 year old hasn’t featured in Huddersfield Town’s last three games and is still waiting to make his full debut for the West Yorkshire side.
Ahram have reported on the statement released by the EFA confirming that Sobhi will not play a part in Egypt’s upcoming game: “The coach has allowed Ramadan Sobhi to travel back to England to complete his rehabilitation program with his club Huddersfield after learning the details of his injury.”
Sobhi picked up a knee injury whilst in training with Huddersfield Town which ruled him out of their recent Premier League games against Cardiff City and Everton. The youngster also missed the Terriers’ EFL Cup clash against Stoke City last week.
These latest developments will come as a blow to Huddersfield Town’s summer signing, who’s played just six minutes for his new club.
The winger will now also miss Egypt’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations game against Niger this coming Saturday.
