Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen has shared his ‘very good feelings’ about his move to Roma and his initial impressions about the Italian side.
He’s been speaking to the media following Roma’s 6-0 win over Latina, with his comments covered by Voce Giallorossa.
Kristensen joined Roma on a loan deal earlier this month, bringing an end to a year-long stay at Leeds after joining from RB Salzburg in July last year.
He was a regular for the Whites last season but was unable to stop them being relegated back to the Championship from the Premier League.
That relegation has seen an exodus from Elland Road since, with a number of players taking advantage of clauses in their contracts to seal moves to new clubs.
Kristensen is one of them, securing a loan move to Roma, which not only sees him moving to one of Europe’s top five leagues but also provides him with the chance to work under Jose Mourinho.
That’s a big step up from Leeds and it seems the 26-year-old is very excited at the prospect of getting to work properly in his new surroundings.
“It’s the first few days here, I’m trying to settle in as best I can,” he said.
“It’s very hot, it’s scorching hot for someone like me who comes from Scandinavia. I’m feeling very well, I’ve been well received, and I can’t wait to get back on track and return all this affection.
“Very good sensations. I only arrived on Monday, it’s only been 5 days of intense work and a lot of physical work as it should be in preparation. I’m enjoying the city.”
