Torino will have to make a decision on whether to sign Nikola Vlasic permanently from West Ham United by June 1st, as that is when his purchase clause runs to.
That’s according to La Stampa, relayed by Toro News, who cover the player’s future today ahead of his loan deal coming to an end.
He’s spent the season on loan with Torino after falling out of favour under David Moyes. Classic has impressed, establishing himself as a key player and earning rave reviews for most of the season.
They explain that he and Torino are now in the ‘hot days’ in regard to his future, as a decision has to be made on whether to activate the clause to buy him permanently from West Ham.
At the moment they are leaning towards doing so as he is currently performing at the high levels he was enjoying before the World Cup. In fact, he is ‘distinguishing’ himself in the last few games of the season.
Indeed, when evaluating the entire season, Vlasic has been one the ‘most incisive players’ for the club and in terms of Croatians playing in Europe.
His future will likely be determined as Torino try to secure eighth place in Serie A and Vlasic has a few days left to ‘convince’ the club to bet on him. He is certainly doing that with his performances of late.
And the reality is that Torino will have to make that decision in the next few weeks, with the clause they have agreed in the deal with West Ham expiring on June 1st.
