In recent days Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon has been linked with a move to Galatasaray as their search for a left back continues.
Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne and, ambitiously, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson are also reportedly on Cimbom’s wish list.
Mustafa Özgür Sancar has spoken to Haber Sarikirmiz with regards to the Super Lig champions’ pursuit of a left back and he believes Reguilon will be a better fit for Gala rather than Digne.
The Turkish football commentator went on to say there is interest from Galatasaray for the Tottenham player and that it’s looking very likely he will leave Spurs this summer.
“Lucas Digne is a good and experienced footballer. Of course, he would be useful if he came to Galatasaray, but I think Sergio Reguilon is a more preferable footballer. Galatasaray also have an interest in the Spaniard. There is also a high probability he will leave Tottenham. I wish this will be the transfer,” said Özgür Sancar.
Reguilon spent last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford after being frozen out at Tottenham. The player isn’t in Ange Postecoglou plans and Spurs are ready to offload him this summer.
The defender made 28 appearances during his loan spells last season. He’s contracted to Tottenham until June 2025, which could put pressure on the London club to sell at a lower than normal price this summer.
