With Bayern Munich standing as one of the few European clubs who could sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, the rumours about the striker’s move to the Bundesliga side never ceased.

A couple of weeks ago, reports from Germany had been claiming that the Bavarian side made ‘new contact’ with the striker’s family, as they continue to work on the transfer.

However, as Bild today hosted a conversation regarding Bayern Munich’s summer target, it seems like the Tottenham star is being forgotten in that quest.

It all started with the club’s new president Herbert Hainer confirming the budget that the German side have to spend on a new striker.

“Yes, I said that FC Bayern are able to spend €100m. But everything has to be right. It is also known that we are looking for a centre-forward. We are in a good way.”

Then with Sky expert Didi Hamann naming some targets, Kane wasn’t even mentioned.

“For me there are two candidates with Kolo Muani and Osimhen from Napoli. I don’t want to deny Niclas Füllkrug’s level, but I think if you want to attack in the Champions League you have to get a Kolo Muani or Osimhen. If I could decide, I would get Kolo Muani.”

The price to take Kane out of Tottenham is obviously scary, and that’s why even with €100m in their hands, they may not have the conditions to sign the English striker. That’s why the Bundesliga side are already starting to be linked to other names, and recent claims from Germany said they could end up going after Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez instead.
