Following the stories that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United, the Brazilian has chosen a rather coincidental destination for a quick holiday.

The news comes from Fabrice Hawkins on X, who reports that the Magpies star so happens to be in Paris for the next few days.

He makes it clear the Newcastle player is not there for business, but rather enjoying a ‘few days of rest with his family’, but that hasn’t stopped a fuss being made by Paris Saint-Germain fans.

They are, as you can imagine, very excited at this news, and this will undoubtedly fuel a rather weak fire about a January exit from St James’ Park for the player.

We already covered claims that he had an agreement with Newcastle to forego his release clause if Barcelona and Real Madrid were interested in him, but that doesn’t seem to apply for the Ligue 1 side.

He would cost them a lot of money, meaning this seems unlikely to get done in January.

Then again, he is in Paris, and it wouldn’t be surprising if someone from the French club, like Marquinhos, tried to contact him, just to see where his mind is at.
