Despite all the efforts made by Atlético Mineiro to get Rodrigo Muniz signed from Fulham, it seems they won’t succeed in their task for the transfer.
Outlet Radio Itatiaia today claims the Brazilian club made their final attempt to sign the striker.
This new ‘important’ offer was for a €5m move, with Fulham still getting 50% of a future transfer. Marco Silva’s side, however, were ‘not seduced’ by the conditions on the table.
A source from Atletico told Itatiaia that the Whites are ‘stalling to give the response’. It’s made clear that the Craven Cottage side don’t have the striker as an important piece of their squad, but are still being tough in their negotiations for him.
The Brazilian transfer window closes on Wednesday, and that means there won’t be much more time for them to negotiate this transfer.
Muniz was signed by Fulham in 2021, and was only used in their Championship campaign. He spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he barely played, and that’s why the Whites are unlikely to get a big sale with him this summer.
