Fulham are keen on signing Palmeiras’ Richard Ríos in the summer window, according to Bolavip Brasil.
The midfielder has been regularly impressing for the Brazilian club for more than a year and has attracted interest from several clubs.
Bolavip Brasil state Fulham aren’t the only club looking at the 24-year-old. The Premier League side would be ahead as they’ve approached him in advance, and this may give them an edge over others. They see Ríos as an ‘ideal player’ to strengthen their squad.
The Colombia international is fully aware of Fulham’s interest but remains focused on his current club.
Palmeiras have qualified for the Club World Cup that will take place in the US between June 14th and July 13th. The report states Marco Silva’s side should table a proposal for him after Palmeiras’ Club World Cup campaign. Ríos’ agent would take their offer to the Brazilian club after the tournament in the US.
Palmeiras will only negotiate if their desired price of over €21m is matched by Silva’s side. The price may increase if Ríos shines at the Club World Cup and this could improve his club’s position during negotiations.
