Fulham‘s Issa Diop had settled for a limited role under Marco Silva last season.
The centre-back struggled with injuries in the second half of 2025 and lost his place at Fulham this year.
He finished the season with 1,264 minutes from 13 matches, of which 814 were from the Premier League.

Fulham man attracting Serie A interest
Africa Foot claims Issa Diop’s difficult situation at Fulham last season led to suggestions he could change clubs this summer.
The restricted game time with Fulham didn’t impact his place on the national team for the World Cup. Apart from the clash against Haiti, he played every minute in the other three matches.
This has been a turning point, both for the market and his future with the Premier League side.
His impressive performances at the World Cup have attracted interest from other clubs, while it also didn’t go unnoticed at Fulham.
The London club initially considered listening to offers but change their plans and decide to retain him. This saw them reject an official approach from Como.
Cesc Fàbregas’ side had identified the 29-year-old as a target to strengthen their defence. However, the Serie A side are met with a firm refusal from Fulham, who aren’t willing to negotiate Diop’s sale.
The Premier League side are considering him a priority for next season, even though they are yet to appoint a new manager. Álvaro Arbeloa is most likely to replace Marco Silva and only the official announcement seems missing.
Their stance on Diop will only change if there’s an exception offer, without Africa Foot mentioning a figure.
Renewal could be on cards
Issa Diop has less than a year left on his contract and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €8m.
Fulham have to offer him a new contract, to avoid losing the player for free in 2027.
The renewal could be a logical step, especially if the defender were to continue in London next season.
