Fulham are ‘ready to open talks’ with Fiorentina for defender Igor as they seek a replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo.
That’s according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who says Fulham have already met the player’s entourage and been made aware that the defender ‘appreciates the destination’.
He picks up on recent reports that Fulham are interested in a deal for Igor, whose contract with Fiorentina ends in 2024.
That means the Italian side need to secure a sale this summer to avoid losing the defender, who won’t be renewing his contract beyond that point,
That’s something Fulham know all about as they face a similar situation with Adarabioyo, who has told the club he won’t be signing a new deal and wants a new adventure elsewhere. He has interest from Inter Milan.
If he goes, they’ll need a replacement and Igor has been named as that man, with several reports in Italy stating as such.
Galetti now reports they are ready to open talks with Fiorentina over a deal, having already met the player and been informed that he would be open to the switch to Craven Cottage.
