Palmeiras are keen on signing Andreas Pereira in the winter market and have sent a €20m offer to Fulham.
On Monday, O Globo stated the 28-year-old’s agent has insisted his move to the Brazilian club isn’t close and Fulham are reluctant to let him leave in January.
ESPN Brasil have taken a look at the recent claims about Palmeiras interest and provide the Fulham player’s stance.
They say the Brazil international is ‘bothered’ by the exit links and about the recent claims that he has agreed a deal with Palmeiras.
Pereira hasn’t yet responded to the South American club’s proposal because he’s waiting for offers from other clubs. In addition to this, the report states Marco Silva’s side aren’t willing to let him leave in January.
These factors make it difficult for Palmeiras to sign the former Manchester United man in the next window.
The midfielder’s deal lasts until 2026, with an option for another year and ESPN state he ‘doesn’t rule out’ signing a new contract at Fulham.
This would certainly please Marco Silva and his side as Pereira is a key part of Fulham’s squad. He made 17 league appearances this season and it includes 15 starts.
