Fulham are in negotiations to sign Vini Souza from Sheffield United, according to reports from Brazil.
Journalist Venê Casagrande reveals that the Whites placed an initial €18m offer for the signing, and even though that was turned down by the Blades, the talks are on.
The report doesn’t say how much Sheffield United are demanding for the sale. Still, it’s claimed that due to his high salary at the club, they’d like to negotiate him.
Despite the Blades’ relegation to the Championship, Souza still managed to show good potential, and that’s what drew Fulham’s attention.
The Whites are looking for a replacement for João Palhinha, who left for Bayern Munich, and have also been said to be in talks for Fluminense’s André.
It now remains to be seen if Fulham will actually show up with a higher offer, as it sounds obvious that they’re looking for many options in the market.
Souza joined Sheffield United on a €12.5m deal from Lommel SK in the summer of 2023. He has a contract with the club running until 2027, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €12m.
