Fulham and Nottingham Forest may continue with their chase to sign Alejandro Grimaldo from Benfica, but the Eagles are still to give up on keeping him.

Newspaper A Bola today writes about the ‘operation renewal’ that Benfica are currently making, and that includes their attempt to keep Grimaldo.
There, it’s mentioned that the left-back has been linked to the likes of Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Nice and Atletico Madrid, but it’s ‘assured’ that he hasn’t committed to any club for now.
According to the newspaper, the 27-year-old continues to leave the door open for a renewal with Benfica, even though there’s still distance between his request and what the club can offer. It’s said a potential agreement would still take time.
Meanwhile, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and others apparently keep watching the situation to see the player’s final decision. Grimaldo has been playing for the Eagles for over seven years, so it isn’t an easy choice for him.
