There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest are looking to close in on Goztepe forward Romulo.

CNN Turk report on the latest developments regarding Nottingham Forest’s pursuit for the youngster and state he’s interested in a transfer to the City Ground.

It’s claimed Romulo has given the ‘green light’ to the move as he’s keen to play in the Premier League, plus Nottingham Forest being in Europe next season is another attraction.

According to CNN Turk, Goztepe have been contacted by the English side with regards to the availability of the Brazilian attacker. If the clubs can come to an agreement, the player side may be straightforward.

Nottingham Forest could still face competition from RB Leipzig, Ajax, Feyenoord, AS Roma, AS Monaco, Sporting CP, RSC Anderlecht and the other two English clubs.

Romulo made 28 starts in the Super Lig last season, scoring 12 goals. He’s contracted until June 2028 after making his move to Goztepe permanent during the last transfer window.
