Wilfried Gnonto was one of the positives at Leeds United during the last campaign as he finished his debut season at Elland Road with four goals and four assists from 28 games.
The 19-year-old’s increasing number of fans and the Whites’ return to the Championship has seen him linked to a few clubs.
According to Calciomercato, the forward ‘would like to leave’ Leeds in the summer.
AC Milan and Fiorentina are named as his suitors and both have carried out their first surveys for the Italy international.
That contact is likely to have been made with Leeds as the report says they have ‘fired a request for €20m’ for Gnonto, which seems relatively cheap but has managed to scare his suitors.
Calciomercato say this is deemed excessive by Milan and Fiorentina, who aren’t willing to enter into negotiations with the English side under these conditions. The scenario would be different if Leeds are ready to allow Gnonto leave on loan or lower their demands.
Milan and Fiorentina aren’t the only clubs looking at the Leeds player. Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Juventus have held a meeting with Gnonto’s agent over a potential summer deal.
