Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata has insisted he will not be joining Everton or any other suitors in the summer transfer window.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian side in recent months after a frustrating campaign that has been limited by a hamstring injury.
He was consistently named as a target for Everton throughout the January transfer window as they scrambled around desperately trying to sign a striker to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
A move never ended up happening and he remained at Atalanta as part of their squad until the end of the season at the earliest.
A decision on his future will need to be made in the summer as his current deal expires in 2024, meaning he is entering this summer in the final year of his deal.
That’s seen the links to Everton continue, with it reported that the Blues maintain interest in the Colombian.
That was followed by the striker’s agent insisting he will evaluate any offers that come his way, but it seems that is not something the player is actually interested in.
“Here,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport when asked where he’ll be at the beginning of next July.
“Even though since I’ve been at Atalanta every time the market opened they gave me to another team, even when I knew nothing about it.
“Here, where I am very well and where I can be even better if I find some continuity. And if we finish this championship well.”
