At the end of last week, reports from Brazil revealed Everton’s interest in Atletico Mineiro fullback Guilherme Arana.
It was claimed that the Toffees currently have an official in Tokyo, scouting the player’s performances at the Olympics.
Now outlet Bolavip went to check this information with Atletico Mineiro, and found out that the club are still to be contacted regarding a potential transfer.
The outlet writes that Galo are not aware of any offer or approach, even though they know Arana is wanted abroad and it will be ‘nearly possible’ to keep him in the coming transfer windows.
It’s said Atletico still haven’t set a ‘minimum amount’ for his transfer. Even though that previous report had said they’d only let him go for his release clause, which is €40m, this time it’s claimed that the chances of any club paying that much are ‘low’.
Bolavip says Arana’s value should grow with his performances in Tokyo, and the Brazilian club will decide his future ‘very calmly’.
