Everton, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth are all credited with interest in Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma.
The La Liga side signed the 25-year-old from Bournemouth in 2021, when the current Aston Villa manager, Unai Emery, was in charge at the club. He hasn’t settled in Spain and wants to return to the Premier League in January.
That’s according to Monday’s El Periódico Mediterráneo, who say the winger has been dreaming of returning to England for more than a year and seems to be in the final stretch to fulfil it.
The Netherlands international has travelled to London, with Villarreal’s permission, to hold talks with interested parties. Everton, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Bournemouth are all named.
The report says Frank Lampard’s side have shown the ‘most interest’ in the player, who has been ‘offered’ to the Tricky Trees, Gary O’Neil’s side and the Villans.
Everton would have proposed to take the player on loan with an option to buy.
The Dutchman is set to return to Villarreal on Monday and there could be more updates later in the day regarding the talks he had with the English clubs during his trip to the UK.
