WIW Sport, who specialise in matters related to Senegal sport, report Everton are keen on Ismaïla Sarr.

The 20 year old is currently playing for Rennes, where he moved to in 2017 from Metz, and has been attracting attention from several Premier League clubs.

Rennes paid a huge (for them) €17m for the player and in December it was reported that Arsenal are very keen.

Sarr came through the Generation Foot academy, just like his compatriot Sadio Mane, and it was suggested that he could follow the Liverpool player’s example by going to a smaller Premier League club rather than aiming for one of the top six.

With that in mind, Crystal Palace were also said to be interested.

Earlier in January, Arsenal interest was pushed again, with the Gunners said to have told Sarr they’ll be watching him closely until the end of the season.

WIW Sport say Everton are on the player ‘more than ever’, and his good first half of the season has caught their eye.

The Toffees are following him, and it’s stated they’ll have someone in attendance on Sunday evening as Rennes face PSG, quite a test for the player.

Sarr has played in a variety of roles so far this season, mostly on the right. The right footer can play pretty much anywhere in attack, on either side or through the middle.

He has nine goals and six assists so far this season. Despite his young age, the Rennes player already has 20 caps for Senegal.
