If there’s one thing Everton fans can learn from the Friedkins at AS Roma, it’s that they’re not afraid to be make big and controversial decisions if they feel things are going the wrong way for their club.

Club legend Daniele De Rossi being shown the door last year, despite not doing a terrible job, was a clear indication of that, and now there’s more from the American family.

AS Roma finished 5th in Serie A last season, which is far from a disaster for the Italian club. The Friedkins clearly aren’t happy and have decided to part ways with sporting director Florent Ghisolfi after just one year, report Corriere dello Sport.

The decision is reported as mutual, but it’s clear Roma are doing the deciding here, having felt they didn’t have a synergy with Ghisolfi.

There had even been earlier claims that Ghisolfi could work with Everton in the future, although that now looks to be an unlikely outcome.
