Earlier today, Sky Italia reported Everton made contact with Napoli on Wednesday over signing Jesper Lindstrøm.
It was also said the Toffees are accelerating their efforts to try and sign the 24-year-old this summer.
Wednesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport brings a positive update on Everton’s pursuit of Lindstrøm.
The attacking midfielder hasn’t had a lot prominence at the Naples club since joining them from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2023. To put it in context, he played less than 600 minutes from 29 games last season.
It’s claimed Everton’s negotiations with the Serie A side are progressing quickly, so much so that they are ‘one step away’ from signing him on a loan deal with an option to buy.
If the Premier League side were to exercise the buying option, the overall cost of the deal would be around €25m, likely including bonuses and the loan fee.
Everton have to agree personal terms with Lindstrøm. The report says the ‘feelings are positive’, indicating that the English club seem to be optimistic of finding an agreement with the Dane.
