Two days ago, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Everton have joined the chase for Wesley França and made contact with Flamengo.

It was also stated AC Milan have offered €20m for the right-back and the Toffees intend to match it.

Monday’s edition of O Dia covers Everton’s interest in the 21-year-old, when discussing his situation.

Wesley was awarded the best right-back in the Brazilian league last year, with 51 appearances in all competitions. His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed in Europe and Aston Villa tabled a €15m bid for him.

The Villans’ proposal was rejected and Sean Dyche’s side are now in the mix to sign the fullback. The newspaper points out the Merseyside club are willing to offer €20m to bring the player to Goodison Park.

That won’t be enough because Flamengo are requesting €30m to sanction his sale. It’s quite ambitious from the Brazilian club to quote this price and the report states they want to retain him until the summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.

Everton need to raise their offer, but it wouldn’t make sense for them to spend €30m if they can’t take Wesley in this window.
