Everton are one of the sides ‘looking at’ Napoli star Hirving Lozano after his slow start to the season at Napoli.
That’s according to the Mexican edition of Marca, who say the Blues remain interested in the right-winger having been linked over the last few years.
They explain that Lozano could soon find himself on the move, having endured a frustrating start to the campaign.
He’s found himself increasingly on the bench and that’s led to rumours about several clubs being interested, including Bayern Munich.
His current situation has ‘generated’ interest all over Europe, though, and it’s believed there is a group of clubs that are ‘looking at him’.
Everton are among them, with them keen to improve their forward options in the January transfer window and still needing to find a replacement for Richarlison after his move to Tottenham in the summer.
Lozano has long been linked with a move to Goodison Park, having been consistently named as a target during Carlo Ancelotti’s time in charge.
The Italian was reportedly keen on linking up with the Mexican on Merseyside and it seems that interest, and Everton’s need for reinforcement on the right wing, means he has stayed on their list to this day.
Perhaps that is because there is a belief he could be available on the cheap, with his current situation only likely to reduce his value over the coming months.
Marca do insist that he will cost €30m regardless of that fact, which seems like a price Everton would be unlikely to pay given their finances at this moment in time.
They’re more likely to look at younger, cheaper players who can be developed than an established player like Lozano, but if there’s a chance of a bargain it may change their thinking.
