Sporting’s Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is being followed by Everton and a few other Premier League sides, including Liverpool, according to O Jogo.
The Lions brought the 18-year-old to Portugal from Ghanian side Steadfast in the summer transfer window. He has featured six times in all competitions, which includes an appearance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on October 26th.
It’s claimed that an emissary from Everton was present at Spurs’ stadium to watch the winger in action for Sporting.
The Toffees, as per the report, are often attentive to the talents from the Primeira Liga. The Merseyside club are monitoring the Ghanian as a ‘part of the process of detecting business opportunities’.
Apart from Frank Lampard’s side, Manchester United observed the player in action for his club last week.
O Jogo adds Liverpool have also seen him live. Prior to agreeing a deal to join Sporting, the Reds showed interest in the teenager but did not proceed to making an offer.
Everton have ‘joined the list of British clubs watching the promising winger’. It remains to be seen whether they will consider making an offer to Sporting to try to secure Fatawu’s services.
