Everton have joined the list of clubs interested in Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug but face a battle to convince him to move to Goodison Park.
That’s according to SportBILD, who say ‘everyone is talking’ about Füllkrug at present after registering ten goals and two assists in 14 games in the Bundesliga this season.
Most of the focus is coming from the Bundesliga, where Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach are ‘interested’ in the 29-year-old.
However, there is also international interest in the striker and that is coming from Everton, who ‘have an eye’ on him.
They’re desperately seeking reinforcements up front this month after struggling for goals this season, with neither Neal Maupay or Dominic Calvert-Lewin proving to be reliable options.
They’ve added Füllkrug to their list of options and there is a belief that money would be ‘less of a problem’ for them in face of Werder Bremen wanting at least €20m for their man.
The problem is that that Füllkrug sees himself a ‘top club’ like Manchester United and is therefore unlikely to be keen on joining Everton, who are in the bottom three of the Premier League and fighting against relegation.
