Everton have endured a difficult run in the league this season and are currently 19th in the table, two points behind 17th placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Toffees have still not managed to bring in a new player in January and one of the key areas they need to bolster is their attack. Marko Arnautović has already been identified as a target.
On January 17th, TuttoMercatoWeb stated Everton have made contact with the Bologna striker.
The Premier League side were keen on signing Arnaut Danjuma, but he snubbed them for Tottenham Hotspur. Arnautović is back on Everton’s agenda, according to a report from TMW.
The Austria international is the ‘number one’ target on the Merseyside club’s list and they are ‘considering making an offer’ to the Serie A side in the last week of the winter market. He is valued between €15m and €20m.
Bologna have no intention of selling Arnautović in January and are snubbing proposals from Everton. Despite this, TMW state ‘news is expected’ on this case because the English club have the ex-West Ham United man as their main target.
Arnautović has eight goals and an assist from 14 league matches this season.
