Merih Demiral’s future is believed to be away from Juventus and Everton are one of the clubs to have set their sights on the centre-back.
On July 16th, Calciomercato reported the Toffees are ‘strongly interested’ in signing the 23-year-old this summer.
Atalanta star Cristian Romero is being chased by Tottenham Hotspur and the north London club have already seen their €50m bid for the Argentine rejected by the Serie A side.
Spurs still continue their efforts to sign Romero and the situation has forced Atalanta to look for possible replacements in the market.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Atalanta have identified Demiral as their target and his signing is one of the requests made by Gian Piero Gasperini, if Romero leaves the club for Tottenham.
Atalanta are not the only side chasing the Turkey international as the report adds Everton and Borussia Dortmund have ‘concrete interest’ in the Juve player.
That’s about the only information mentioned about Everton and Demiral in TMW’s report.
BVB’s interest in the player is also covered by Calciomercato as they add the defender is ‘not untouchable’ for the Turin club. However, Juve will ‘ask for’ €30-35m to sanction Demiral’s sale in the ongoing window.
