Everton have ‘come forward’ for Juventus full-back Mattia de Sciglio but are yet to make a move for the Italian.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the defender’s future is yet to be defined after his loan spell with Lyon.
The website explains that De Sciglio has ‘restored awareness and confidence’ after a loan spell with Lyon last season, where he ‘found the continuity’ that he had been lacking in recent years.
However, the limited financial resources at the club means his move has not become permanent, and he is returning to Italy with Juventus.
There is every chance he could stay as he was a favourite under Max Allegri last time around, and he would not mind having him in his squad.
However, should they look to move him on, Everton have ‘come forward’ alongside Villarreal to show their interest.
They ‘haven’t made a move’ as yet, but a deal would not be difficult for either as Juventus would like a cash sum of around €5m.
That’s a fee both clubs could afford, particularly Everton, who are desperately scouring the market for competition for Seamus Coleman.
The situation is currently ‘fluid’, and there could be a ‘surprise epilogue’, but if not, the Blues are at the window for the Italian.
