Everton and Newcastle United are among the clubs in the picture to sign Talleres’ Ramón Sosa in the summer window.
That’s at least what ESPN journalist Roberto Rojas is reporting, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter to provide a short update on Everton and Newcastle.
Operating on the left wing, he scored six goals and registered four assists from 16 games this year, and his performances seem to have caught the attention of the Premier League duo.
According to Rojas, Everton and Newcastle have shown interest in the 24-year-old and both have sent their officials to watch him live in action for the Argentine club.
Sosa’s deal lasts until December 2026 and the journalist points out the commitment made by Talleres president Andrés Fassi to part ways with the player if there’s a ‘right offer’ of $20m.
As well as Everton and Newcastle, Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the attacker.
Earlier this week Fassi revealed that Sosa will leave the South American club in the next window, and his comments are relayed by Olé. This should certainly come as a boost for the Toffees and the Magpies.
“Ramón will surely be released in this market, he has our commitment to leave,” he said.
Olé also state the president turned down Los Angeles Galaxy’s $15m bid for Sosa and is demanding €20m, which is also his release clause.
