If Everton wanted a signal from Dávinson Sánchez to make their move for him this summer, they may have just received it.

That’s at least if his latest comments covered on Caracol Radio are to go by, with the defender very much hinting he’d be open to returning to the Premier League.

Everton have been linked with a surprise move for Sánchez throughout the summer so far, with consistent reports in Turkey putting them at the front of the queue and insisting that the Toffees are keen on adding him to Sean Dyche’s squad this summer.

It was even reported earlier this month that Everton had upped their bid for the defender after seeing an initial offer rejected by Galatasaray.

There’s been no updates on the matter since then, with Everton seemingly focusing their attention on getting other deals, such as the loan move for Napoli’s Jesper Lindstrom, over the line.

In the meantime, Sánchez is continuing pre-season with Galatasaray, but when asked about his future made it clear he is more than interested in a potential return to the Premier League if it is offered to him.

“It is the reflection of good work,” he said, when asked about Premier League interest.

“I am a person who trusts a lot in working, in having the ability to overcome, in not being in a comfort zone, the comfort zone always limits your possibilities, one can go much further than where you are.

“Teams and possibilities come, being on the radar of important teams, you are proud because you know that the job is being done well.

“At the moment I have to join my team in the pre-season in the coming days and we will see what is best for me and for the club, I still have a contract and what is decided will be thinking about well-being.”
