Inter Milan star Hakan Çalhanoğlu is appreciated by Tottenham Hotspur and a few other clubs in England, according to InterLive.it.
The midfielder has starred for the Serie A side in the last two seasons, convincing the latter to extend his deal until 2027. Despite the ‘imminent renewal’, Inter could evaluate offers they’ll receive for him as no player is ‘non-transferable’ for them in this window.
It’s claimed the 29-year-old is in the sights of a few Premier League sides and the Nerazzurri must ‘keep an eye out especially on Tottenham’.
That’s because Tottenham are looking to bolster their midfield in the summer window and could ‘end up tempting’ the Nerazzurri by tabling a €35m bid for the Turkey international.
As things stand, the north London club haven’t made an offer for the former AC Milan man. The report says the Champions League finalists intend to retain their star and would only consider his sale if they receive a ‘shock proposal’.
InterLive.it don’t specify the fee needed to convince Inter to let go of Çalhanoğlu in this window.
Operating as a defensive midfielder and in the middle of the pitch, Çalhanoğlu scored four goals and registered eight assists from 49 games last season.
