Juventus defender Merih Demiral is liked in the Premier League, ‘especially at Everton’, according to Calciomercato.

The 23-year-old made three appearances for Turkey at Euro 2020 and struggled in the ongoing UEFA tournament, even scoring an own goal in his side’s 3-0 defeat to Italy.

His ‘nightmare’ in the European championship has reduced his valuation.

The Turin club have decided to cut ties with the centre-back, after planning to go ahead with Matthijs de Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini next season. In addition to this, Massimiliano Allegri has asked the Old Lady to sign Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenković.

Despite his ‘nightmare’ in Euro 2020 and struggles over the past two seasons, the Serie A side have slapped a €35m asking price on him.

This has ‘cooled’ Atalanta’s enthusiasm to sign him, but not that of clubs from the Premier League, where the Toffees reportedly have an interest in Demiral.

With Everton in the picture, Juve are waiting for the ‘right offer’ from the Merseyside club or another English suitor, in order to avoid the risk of selling the player to another Italian side.
