Chelsea’s Renato Veiga has been impressing during his loan stint at Juventus so far.

The versatile defender was loaned out late in the January transfer window and since joining the Turin side, he’s played three Serie A games and once in the Champions League.

He’s established a starting spot in Thiago Motta’s side too, showcasing his leadership and defensive abilities.

TuttoSport report on the 21-year-old today. They state that as of now it is difficult to imagine a Juventus side without Renato Veiga in it because he is one of the secrets behind the Bianconeri’s change in fortunes this season.

Juventus would be interested in signing Veiga permanently but Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is ‘crazy’ about the player, who can also operate in midfield, and would therefore take him back.,

The Blues boss agreed to let the Portuguese depart on loan because the fee on offer was an attractive one, as Chelsea had also rejected permanent offers from Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart.

This suggests that the London club would not be interested in a permanent sale. As a result, Juve will have to rely on Veiga’s desire for a move to sign him permanently.
