Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmoller has insisted Tottenham’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers means nothing to him ahead of their Europa League clash this week.

SGE 4 Ever cover comments from the Eintracht boss today ahead of the two sides meeting in the Europa League quarter-final second leg on Thursday.

Tottenham head into the clash on the back of another disappointing weekend after a 4-2 defeat to Wolves at Molineux.

That defeat was another error ridden performance from Ange Postecoglou’s side, particularly defensively, condemning them to a 17th defeat in the Premier League this season and leaving them 15th in the table.

While there are no relegation fears given Ipswich Town sit 18th and on 21 points, it was another disastrous afternoon for Tottenham who were at times cut open at will by a Wolves side full of confidence.

Their defensive weakness should certainly have provided Eintracht Frankfurt with plenty of encouragement and ideas ahead of their meeting this week.

It seems Toppmoller was not paying any attention to the result, though, explaining why it wasn’t important for their game as far as he’s concerned.

“An extreme force will be added to us tomorrow. Their Sunday game doesn’t matter, because their focus is only the Europa League,” he said when asked about it.
