Edoardo Bove picked up a knee injury during Watford‘s Championship clash against West Brom at the weekend. Details about the situation are now emerging.
The Hornets put in a spirited performance in the 1-0 defeat to the Baggies. At the end of the tie, Bove looked quite uncomfortable and also struggled to walk towards the dressing room.
Soon, it became clear he had picked up a knee injury. Naturally, fears grew it could be a serious ligament issue.
Bove underwent medical tests
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Watford player was in Rome today to undergo medical tests. The examination was done at Villa Stuart, which is the facility multiple Rome clubs use for medical exams.
This revealed that the 24-year-old has only suffered a knee sprain, which is good news for the Hornets.
The player will not need surgery and will only undergo conservative therapy to fix the problem.
While there is no clarity on when he will return, his condition will be monitored on a daily basis. Further examinations are expected at some point and the journalist expects him to recover during the international break.

So far this season, Bove has played every Championship game for Watford. He played every minute of the West Brom game, despite the obvious problem too.
