Tuttosport aren’t giving up on local club Torino signing Beto, and on Wednesday they have an update which reports the Serie A club are going a little higher for the Everton player.

Everton fans will probably remember that Torino’s local media has repeatedly stated the absolute intention was to go no higher than €14m.

At the beginning of this week it was reported they’d edged forward to €15m and that an agreement may be possible somewhere around the €18m mark, as part of a loan from Everton with an obligation to buy.

Tuttosport state before letting Beto go, Everton want to secure Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury replacement. Hamza Igamane is said to be close, but Tuttosport wouldn’t really know about that.

The report explains Torino have presented a new offer to Everton directors. That offers totals €18m and is broken down as a €6m payment immediately and a further €12m spread over two years.

That’s on a loan with an obligation clause, and there’s no hoops for Beto to jump through to get Everton that money.

It would be €18m guaranteed.
