As Juventus try to sort the future of Federico Chiesa this summer, Aston Villa show up as one of the options for the 25-year-old this summer.
The situation is today explained by Italian outlet Calciomercato, who features a story about the ‘truth’ surrounding the player right now.
Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani is working on the case. There’s no chance for a renewal, even though Juventus would continue to pay his €5.5m annual wages, or the possibility of a move.
That’s where Aston Villa are brought in.
It’s said the representative’s recent moves have ‘led’ the Villans to get interested in Chiesa.
And even though Juventus demand €60m for the winger’s sale, that price ‘does not scare’ Aston Villa, and nor do his wage demands. Calciomercato points out there’s an ‘ambitious’ project surrounding Unai Emery, even if that hasn’t fully translated in the Premier League just yet.
The problem is that Chiesa isn’t keen on joining a ‘second-tier’ club in the Premier League, so it would take the English club some work to convince him to make the move.
