Harry Kane’s move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich may have been seen as a certain success at first, but that’s not what’s happening right now.

With his club not being on top of the Bundesliga table, there’s a chance they could have a very disappointing season and frustrate all the expectations surrounding the striker’s arrival.

TV Play today held an interview with Valentina Maceri, who used to play football in Germany and is now a pundit at Bild. There, she spoke about Harry Kane and talked about the failure that his move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich could turn to be.

“Kane left Tottenham because he never won a cup in his life, he arrives in Germany and after 11 years in a row Bayern doesn’t win the championship because Leverkusen, who have never won it won. In London, in my opinion, they’re dying of laughter. Jokes aside, Kane’s numbers and performances are extraordinary, unfortunately an attacker needs assists, but he got the timing wrong,” said Maceri.

Bayern Munich spent €95m to sign Kane from Tottenham last summer. His numbers at the German side are incredible, as he has 28 goals and eight assists in 29 appearances, especially excelling in the Bundesliga where he has 24 goals and five assists in 21 games.

That hasn’t been enough to surpass Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, though, who currently stand five points clear on top of the table and recently beat Bayern Munich 3-0.

We’ll now see how the Bavarians will react in the upcoming fixtures, as pressure continues to grow on Thomas Tuchel, the club and the players.
