Despite all the silence Gustavo Scarpa had kept in the past few months regarding the move to Nottingham Forest, we have seen an abrupt change in recent days.

That’s because Palmeiras finally won the Brazilian league title, and with few games until the end of the season, the player is finally comfortable to speak of his next step.

As widely reported by the Brazilian media, Scarpa signed a pre-contract with Nottingham Forest and will be joining them as a free agent in January, as he’s letting his deal with Verdão expire in December.

The midfielder was now interviewed by journalist André Hernan, and when speaking of the move, he talked about how excited he is to make that switch, despite the complicated scenario he’ll find with the Reds on bottom of the Premier League table.

“It is a dream that will come true. And I think it’s cool to make dreams come true because, like, that child thing is still alive in me, you know? So I’m very happy, super excited. I know it’s going to be hard as hell for the Premier League itself but also the situation of the team I’m going to. But man, I’m really excited.”

The Brazilian season ends next weekend, so it’d be no surprise to see Scarpa soon travelling to star his adaptation with Nottingham Forest.

As recently revealed by him, he ignored an offer for a renewal at Palmeiras where he’d earn more than in England, just so he could fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
