Following the announcement that Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison is in Brazil’s list for the World Cup, we now have some updated information on his physical state.
When the Spurs forward first got injured, there was even some concern he could miss the tournament in Qatar. That’s why his name was one of the subjects in the press conference.
National team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar was asked to speak about Richarlison, and ended up revealing that the 25-year-old may even feature for Tottenham before joining Brazil’s squad for the World Cup.
“Last week we visited Richarlison and Paquetá in London to see the evolution of his injury. Our assessment is that he had a really big improvement, this week he should train with the group and he has a chance to be used by the club before the presentation. We are confident that Richarlison can be fully available to Tite,” said Lasmar (via Globo Esporte).
The forward has two goals and three assists for Spurs since joining the club this summer, and with better stats in recent national team games, where he scored four goals in the last four matches, he’s expected to be their number 9 in the World Cup.
