West Ham United are offering €30m including bonuses for Lorient striker Terem Moffi but face competition from Nice for him.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Hammers have bid more than the French side for the inform striker.
They report that the offers are currently ‘raining down’ for Moffi after his impressive performances this season and tally of 12 goals in 18 games in Ligue 1 this season.
West Ham are one of his suitors and, via agent Willie McKay, are offering €30m plus bonuses for the 23-year-old. L’Equipe, however, say that reported bid is ‘not real’ at this point.
If it, then it would be considerably more than Nice have proposed so far, with their offer currently on €15m + €3m in bonuses. That is not considered sufficient by those in charge at Lorient and they will have to up their offer.
The unfortunate point for West Ham is that Moffi has already ‘given his agreement’ to Nice and has a desire to join them this month if he is to depart.
He is yet to show a similar willingness to join West Ham, who, even if they do completely blow Nice out of the water, will have to convince the striker on the move anyway.
It’s a situation to keep an eye on either way, with FM’s belief that the player ‘going to cause a stir’ over the coming days.
